THE STARRY SAND BEACH selected at the Cannes XR x VeeR Future Award Competition
Cannes XR is a program dedicated to immersive technologies and cinematographic content; an annual event that offers to the XR community a multitude of financing and distribution opportunities. Cannes XR is also a networking platform, where professionals of the XR world can come together to discuss and exchange ideas about XR technologies and the future of film and storytelling.
The Starry Sand Beach is a VR scientific tale co directed by Nina Barbier and Hsin-Chien Huang, co produced by Lucid Realities and the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle, with the support of Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) , Centre national du Cinéma et de l’Image Animée -CNC- , PROCIREP – Société des Producteurs & ANGOA.
From the 17th till the 25th of May, our project The Starry Sand Beach competed in the Shortlist selection among other 17 projects. The selected immersive projects were shown for the first time in Alexandria, a virtual exhibition platform that was launched by the two event organizers Cannes XR and the New Images Festival.
